Who Has This Kind of Money to go to a Cancer Clinic?

Who Has This Kind of Money to go to a Cancer Clinic? $300,000!

Good morning lovely you,

I’ve had a few emails this week asking for my advice about cancer treatments. Some of you are not getting the results you are looking for and ready to look at next steps. I know it is confusing out there and when one treatment doesn’t work as you had hoped it can be devastating. I know this situation so well and my heart goes out to you all. Let’s dig in today and try to make some sense out of all of this.

How on earth do you know what to do and who to choose to help you save your life?

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was not only terrified but overwhelmed by the work ahead of me. I was only 26 years old, but it became apparent as I interacted with my initial doctors who didn’t seem to want to really listen to a young woman’s thoughts and feelings, that I was going to have to get my act together and become CEO of my life and choose my own treatment plan and health healing team wisely. It was slim pickings in the natural cancer industry back then, and today we have the opposite situation. There are a plethora of doctors, scientists, coaches, nutritionist, and regular people saying they can cure cancer.

Sadly, cancer is a huge business. Why do you think every second commercial on TV is for a cancer drug, cancer hospital or clinic. One vial of chemotherapy is $55,000. A very well know cancer clinic in the US is charging $300,000 to walk in the door. Who has that kind of money? And how do you know if the treatment will work?

We have people entering the cancer industry selling natural therapies and expensive potions that make outrageous claims. These people are the old snake oil salesmen and they come and go. I see them on the Internet every day and I roll my eyes in disgust.

Please be careful because it is the Wild Wild West, so buyer beware.

For years I have been explaining to my clients and friends that part of getting well means finding the strength within yourself to become the CEO of your whole health and your healing path. You must get educated and find people who have been pioneers in the industry who can prove their claims.

You are the one that needs to be in charge of putting your cancer program and team together and ensuring they are doing what needs to be done on your behalf. Choosing a cancer team you trust and believe in is the first and perhaps most critical step on your journey toward renewed health.

Here are some things I learned:

Who Will Make Up Your Team?

Throughout your healing journey, you will work with many different medical and healing specialists. Find a doctor/Oncologist/naturopath/integrative specialist you can relate to and who understands you and will work with other complementary practitioners and coaches. It’s an excellent idea to work with a nutritionist who has had success with cancer, and who understand what the best anti-inflammatory choices for you. Don’t get swayed by “trendy” diets that are being marketed right now. Anti-inflammatory foods will always be your best choice.

WARNING: Many oncologists still today take the attitude of, “Hey, eat what you want it really doesn’t matter.”

I can’t believe doctors are still saying this today with all the research available backing up anti-inflammatory lifestyles. Run for hills and don’t deal with these types of doctors.

For some horrific reason, doctors have not been taught that food is medicine and medicine is food, and so they allow their cancer patients to eat all sorts of garbage during treatment. Well, much of that garbage played a hand in developing cancer. Work with someone who actually knows about functional medicine, natural medicine or alternative doctors who understand the power of anti-inflammatory foods, and knows that food, in fact, DOES play an enormous role in our health and healing.

I have a great video for you below that explains healing cancer foods and living an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. I have been on this program for 30 years so I guess it is working for me!

As we all know it is far more than just food that heals cancer!

This year is going a bit different - many stores are closed for Black Friday or Thanksgiving, or are being extra strict with Coronavirus measures.

Surround Yourself with People Who Make You Feel Good

Only spend your time with those friends and loved ones that make you feel good; that make you laugh and put you in a good mood. If you're dealing with a health crisis, now is NOT the time to try and be NICE and spend time with those people who are sourpusses, negative, or who bring toxic energy into your life. Hell. No. Stay Away from those people!

These were some of the most profound ways I got myself out of the dark and into the light so I could heal. If they worked for me, they can work for you, too.

Meditate

If you've read this blog for any length of time, you know that I am a big proponent of meditation. Meditation was one of the most important tools I used to heal myself of cancer. Meditation takes you out of your mind chatter and places you in the eternal NOW. Meditation helps you to be an observer of your thoughts and feelings instead of a slave to them.
