Controlling Our Minds – What Is Your Power Statement?

Hello lovely you,

How do we control our minds so we can live a better life? What is your power statement?

The days and weeks of December are flying by. Did you know that we are in the highest realm of energy at this time of the year? This is the time when the spiritual world is reaching down with all their blessings to help us with our projects and to heal our lives? Take time to enjoy this time with prayer, meditation, and spend quality time with yourself. Make this season special and move into this beautiful spiritual realm of energy and enjoy every moment.

Talking about beautiful energy, what an amazing evening we had last night at our monthly healing “boot camp” class. Our special guest, Kevin Roth shared his incredible story of being diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma cancer and how he turned his life around in 3 years to be cancer-free.

Kevin graced us with a live concert playing his Dulcimer. What a talent. We learned that Kevin played with Peter, Paul and Mary years ago and had stayed friends ever since. Unfortunately, Mary was diagnosed with Leukemia and Kevin told us she beat cancer and died of complications to the chemotherapy. How sad is that?

As the comments kept streaming in the chat box last night, I thought to myself, how amazing that this beautiful man who I met only 18 months ago has been able to turn his life around. I had some joyful moments last night hearing Kevin talk. Kevin was prepared to do the work; he got an attitude of gratitude and determination to change his life.

I’m so proud of you Kevin and the deep work you have done over the last 2 years to find your path to true healing. I know this not an easy road to travel on your own that is why I am here with Prue’s Place to help guide and support you all to stay on track.

A big Thank You to Kevin for sharing his story and talent with us last night and thank you to everyone who made the time to be with us. We will be doing more of these events in 2018 and inviting other guests to join us so stay tuned.

Who’s in control of your mind?

Within us lies, incredible power and intelligence that is always responding to our thoughts and words. As we learn to control our mind (the drunken monkey mind) by conscious choice of thinking, we align ourselves with this power.

Always remember you are in control of your mind. There is no one else in charge of you. You can control how you think and what you think about every moment of your day. Learn how to switch off that crazy drunken monkey mind and live a better life – find your purpose and your health and life will take off like you wouldn’t believe.

When the old thoughts the negative chatter, the sabotaging thoughts try to come back, and you find yourself saying things like, “This is hard.” “I’m not strong enough to do this.” Immediately stop what you are doing and make a mental note. Flip the conversation around in your head – take control by saying, “I now choose to believe in me, and I know I can change my thoughts and create the life of my dreams.” Keep saying this statement or a statement you create for yourself that becomes your power statement. Keep saying it until the negative chatter drifts away.

Last night at “boot camp” we discussed this in detail, and as we said goodnight, this is what I suggested to the group.

Here’s a power statement that is very simple. When those drunken monkeys act up, say your name, e.g. Prue, I love you. _______,I love you. Keep saying it until the negative energy has gone. You will soon feel the change.

You and only you have control of your current thoughts.

Your old thoughts have gone, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about them except live out the experience they have caused. Future thoughts haven’t been made, and you have no idea what-so-ever what they will be. Your current beliefs are the only ones you can control to improve your future.

Breathe lovely you – just breath and be.

With love & gratitude,

Breathing is healing

Try this today.

Close your eyes and take a big deep breathe in for 7 counts 1,2,3,4,5, 7 – hold for 2 counts 1,2,  – exhale for 7 counts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.

Say out loud. I am relaxed and prepared to let go? Today, I am ready to let go of old negative thoughts? I let go of fear. I let go of anger. I let go of guilt. I let go of sadness. I forgive those who have hurt me. I forgive myself.

Good morning, lovely you!

As we feel the emotional demands stacking up, it's more important than ever to set aside time to meditate and center oneself.
Sort through your priorities. Decide what you want to pursue, or how you want to handle something that's been bothering you.

If the family house is too busy and hectic, try escaping to a place outside for a bit. Go for a walk, lie down in a dark room, whatever you need to do to let your brain quiet down for a bit and really reflect

It's the first day of December!
Christmas music is absolutely everywhere, and folks are calling it "the season of giving."

We don't always have to give material gifts - spending quality time with someone, reaching out, offering support - those are also ways to give to your family and friends. They're important parts of a relationship!

You can't always have a good day.
The world won't always line up to put you at an advantage.
But you can always face a bad day with a good attitude, and in good faith.

When you are overwhelmed, overstimulated, rushing around panicking and feeling guilty for not being productive enough or good enough.... those are the times when the most PRODUCTIVE thing you can do is take a break to relax.

It's very rare that we can do our best work when panicking, and rushed work means more mistakes and more 'doing things ever' which will end up costing you more time than if you had just carefully and slowly done the work the first time.

When you feel frazzled, overwhelmed - take a short break to take some centering breaths.
Take a break to relax your body.
Take a break to let the buzzing storm in your brain cool off to let you THINK.
Pet a cat, or step outside to listen to the wind.

I'll say it again:
Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is to REST.
