What You Believe Can Ruin Your Life

What You Believe Can Ruin Your Life

Do you ever hear yourself saying any of these things?

I don’t want to bother them.

It wouldn’t do any good anyway.

Would I have to change my whole life to do that?

They can’t help me with my problems. My problems are different.

Our beliefs become our resistance.

Did you know that we grow up with beliefs that become our resistance to changing our lives?

Do you have any of these limiting beliefs?

Spiritual people don’t get angry.

My family never did that.

I can’t drive that far.

That is way too expensive for me.

I’m not that kind of person.

My mother never did that.

What about the way we think about ourselves?

We use these things as limitations or resistance to change.

I’m too old to do that.

I’m too fat.

I’m too stuck in my ways.

I’m too tall for that.

I’m not strong enough.

I’m not good enough.

Fear is, by far, the most significant resistance category.

I can’t do that.

What would my friends think?

It might cost too much.

I don’t want anyone to know about it.

I can’t talk about it.

It’s too hard.

What about my image?

I’m just not good enough.

Do any of these statements above sound familiar?

Why are you hesitant and resistant to change?

Try this exercise…Write down the old beliefs that are holding you back from living your best life. Keep writing until you have everything written out on paper.

Be kind to yourself as you do this exercise.

Can you recognize where the resistance came from? When you understand where it came from, you are on your way to releasing it. Just let it go.

This exercise is powerful and will bring you many Ahha life-changing moments.

I do this exercise when I’m overwhelmed. We never stop learning about ourselves and why we do what we do.

Always be mindful because…What You Believe Can Ruin Your Life

Love you,

Prue

Good morning, lovely you!

As we feel the emotional demands stacking up, it's more important than ever to set aside time to meditate and center oneself.
Sort through your priorities. Decide what you want to pursue, or how you want to handle something that's been bothering you.

If the family house is too busy and hectic, try escaping to a place outside for a bit. Go for a walk, lie down in a dark room, whatever you need to do to let your brain quiet down for a bit and really reflect

It's the first day of December!
Christmas music is absolutely everywhere, and folks are calling it "the season of giving."

We don't always have to give material gifts - spending quality time with someone, reaching out, offering support - those are also ways to give to your family and friends. They're important parts of a relationship!

You can't always have a good day.
The world won't always line up to put you at an advantage.
But you can always face a bad day with a good attitude, and in good faith.

When you are overwhelmed, overstimulated, rushing around panicking and feeling guilty for not being productive enough or good enough.... those are the times when the most PRODUCTIVE thing you can do is take a break to relax.

It's very rare that we can do our best work when panicking, and rushed work means more mistakes and more 'doing things ever' which will end up costing you more time than if you had just carefully and slowly done the work the first time.

When you feel frazzled, overwhelmed - take a short break to take some centering breaths.
Take a break to relax your body.
Take a break to let the buzzing storm in your brain cool off to let you THINK.
Pet a cat, or step outside to listen to the wind.

I'll say it again:
Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is to REST.
